Origins of Ten Shin Sho Kai

As part of their general classes, Ten Shin Sho Kai students learn full contact jojutsu

- the art of the Japanese short staff.

Said to have originated with the legendary Muso Gonnosuke, jojutsu has a long and rich tradition within the arts of the Japanese warrior.

The style of aiki jo as taught in these classes is unique to Ten Shin Sho Kai and offers a comprehensive approach to this 'flexible' weapon.

Emphasis throughout is on attitude and attention to detail.

The aim is to impart a practical art through the application of principle.
